Types of Data Collected

While using the KIDS-APEC PV CoE website (hereafter, “Service“), Korea Institute of Drug Safety and Risk Management (hereafter, “KIDS”, "We", "Us", or "Our") will collect certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
  • Name
  • Economy of work
  • E-mail address
  • Office number
  • Organization, Department, Job title
  • Career experience (years in pharmaceutical industry and pharmacovigilance, level of understanding of international guidelines)
  • Current duties at work
  • Usage data (e.g., time and date of Your visit)
Use of Your Personal Data

We will not use Your personal data without your prior consent, except as provided for in the following circumstances:
  • To provide and maintain Our Service.
  • To manage Your Account as the training participant. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered training participant.
  • To keep Our Service secure and prevent fraud by verifying authorized uses while preventing unauthorized uses from unregistered persons.
  • To contact You by e-mail, telephone calls, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication regarding updates or informative communications related to the training program you have registered to.
  • To provide You with news and general information about upcoming training programs.
  • To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to Us.
  • Law enforcement: Under certain circumstances, We may be required to use Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency)
  • For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as user data analysis, to evaluate and improve Our training programs, Service, and Your experience.
The following information will be notified to You for Your consent when Your personal information is to be used for purposes other than those stated above:
  • The purpose of use of Your personal information
  • Type of personal information to be used
  • Period of retention and use
  • Your right to refuse consent, (if any) disadvantages from Your refusal to provide consent and descriptions of such disadvantages
Disclosure to third parties

We will not disclose any information about you to any person or another agency without your prior consent, except as provided for in the following circumstances:
  • With training program coordinators or affiliates (APEC Harmonization Center [AHC], Ministry of Food and Drug Safety [MFDS], Regulatory Harmonization Steering Committee [RHSC], Center of Excellences [CoE] etc.) upon request.
  • With other users when You share personal information (name, economy, organization, etc.) or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside.
  • Law enforcement: Under certain circumstances, We may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency)
  • Your de-identified personal information may be provided for purposes of statistical analysis and academic research, etc.
The following information will be notified to You for Your consent when Your personal information is to be disclosed to a third party for purposes other than those stated above:
  • Name and contact information of the third party
  • The purpose of use of Your personal information by the third party
  • Type of personal information to be provided
  • Period of retention and use by the third party
  • Your right to refuse consent, (if any) disadvantages from Your refusal to provide consent and descriptions of such disadvantages
Retention of Your Personal Data
KIDS will retain Your Personal Data for 3 years from the date of your last registration. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with Our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Our legal agreements and policies.

Refusal right and disadvantages of refusal
You have the right to refuse the collection, use, and retention of Personal Data. In such a case, the use of the Service may be restricted.
